An elegant, timeless style was the theme for this stunning Gower wedding.

With lockdown announced a few days before their original wedding date in 2020, it was fourth time lucky for Roxanne & Chris.

We speak to Roxy about her special day..

Where did you both meet?

We met at a local pub in Chris’ home village. Which is now the village where we have chosen to buy our family home.

What was your colour scheme/ theme?

We opted for a Timeless theme of classic whites and neutrals. Hoping that we will never look back at our wedding photos and cringe for being outdated haha.

What was your original wedding date? How was it affected by covid?

Our original wedding date was 27th March 2020. Literally a few days after the national lockdown was announced.

We then went on to postpone the wedding a further 2 times, August 23rd 2020 and April 22nd 2021. Before finally getting Wed on May 18th 2022, surrounded by all our loved ones!

Where is your dress from? How many did you try on before you knew it was the one?

An Enzoani dress from Laura May Bridal in Cardiff. I visited their two bridal shops on the same day. In total Id say I tried  on about 7 dresses but the final dress I tried on was ‘the one’  It’s a cliche, but when you know, you know.

Most memorable moment of the day?

I think the most memorable moment of the day would be the wedding speeches. The laughs, giggles, tears and torments throughout the speeches were priceless.

A fond memory we will both cherish.

Ceremony song?

Our ceremony song was a String quartet version of Etta James – At last. Which we felt was quite fitting after all the postponements.

First dance song?

Elton John – Tiny dancer with a live Sax playing along with the original song. Still smile every time I hear the song being played.

 Why the King Arthur?

We wanted a venue that was intimate, where we could simply be surrounded in a beautiful setting by our closest family, friends and Maggie the dog. The King Arthur offered this and more. It will always be such a special place to us both and we love the fact that we can return whenever we please to re live a little of our day.

Tell us about some of your suppliers…

We had THE MOST amazing girl gang of suppliers. Seriously these ladies absolutely rock what they do.

Making sure myself and the bridal party looked our absolute best, were Nicola Anderson for makeup and Sarah Marie on hair. All I’ve got to say is these girls make miracles happen! Run, don’t walk to book them!

Eve Francesca provided flowers to DIE for! I still haven’t parted with my bouquet. I’ve hung the roses up to dry out so I can keep them forever.

Michelle from Scrumdiddly cakes made they most elegant wedding cake that tasted just as stunning as it looked.

Lumi events made the King Arthur even prettier with their decoration, table plans and stationary.

And the boss lady who captured all these details and elements so perfectly was the super talented photographer Lauren Amelia. The photos speak for themselves. We will be forever grateful to Lauren for capturing such beautiful moments and memories of our day.

What advice would give to other couples leading up to their big day?

Don’t stress! Just enjoy the run up to your wedding day. The ups,  the downs. The excitement, the nerves. They all contribute to your own little love story.
