Tell us about your proposal? How and where did it happen?
On our anniversary in 2015, I was getting our daughter changed who was 4 months at the time. When I took her baby grow off, she had a vest on underneath that said ” will you be a Jenkins like me and daddy?” And when I turned around Ashley was on one knee. It was so perfect and low key and I loved how our daughter was included in it.Where did you get your wedding inspiration? Did you have have a theme? Colour scheme?
A lot of the inspiration came from Pinterest. We didn’t have a particular theme, just the colour scheme blush pink and ivory tied in with the wooden rustic theme of The King ArthurCivil ceremony or Church service?
We had a civil ceremony at the King ArthurWhat made you choose the King Arthur as your venue?
We attended a wedding fayre at the King Arthur, it was the only venue we viewed but as soon as we pulled up outside we knew it was going to be the one. When we walked in and saw the venue with the wooden beams, the grounds etc our mind was made up and we provisionally booked the date there and then. How did you personalise your big day?
Ashley designed and made a lot of things like our order of the day, table plan, name places etc. We made sure our day was exactly what we wanted and that we didn’t agree to stuff we didn’t want just to please everyone else. What was your biggest splurge?
The biggest splurge was the venue as we had it for the civil ceremony and the evening. What was your biggest saving?
The biggest saving was my wedding dress. The store was closing down and so I had my dress for £1600 cheaper than it was originally on sale forWhat was your first dance song?
Tom Walker- Better Half Of MeMost memorable part of the day?
The speeches were brilliant.. and the food!! Everyone kept pulling us aside to comment on the food! From the canapes (my favourite was the cockles and laverbread), the pork dinner all the way to the evening food which we selected Something Different with fish & chipsWhere did you go on your Honeymoon/ Mini-moon?
We went to a log cabin in North Wales for a family moon with our two childrenIf we could do it all again we’d …….
Do it exactly the same!Your top tip for any bride and grooms to be who are planning their big day?
Take half an hour out for the two of you to go and sit somewhere quiet and take the day in on your own
