Award winning Swansea Wedding venue adds to its roll of honour
Swansea Wedding Manager Rhian named as coordinator of the year
Our wedding & events manager Rhian Millar was honoured to receive the award for ‘Wedding coordinator of the year’ at this years Welsh Wedding Awards.The glitzy award ceremony was held in the exchange hotel on Wednesday 20th February 2019.
Rhian has worked at the hotel since she was 17 years old and began running weddings in 2005. Since then she has ran over 430 weddings and got married here herself in 2015. This special award recognises all of her hard work over the years, and its such an achievement to be named alongside the best in the wedding industry in Wales.

Meritorious specialists and businesses are crowded winners at The Welsh Wedding Awards 2019
The winners of the Welsh Wedding Awards 2019 are announced, following the glamorous ceremony that took place on Wednesday, February 20th at The Exchange Hotel in Cardiff.
The event attended more than 250 of wedding specialists and suppliers who traveled from every corner of the country to celebrate the protagonists of the industry. The awards recognised those who help the happy couples create unique weddings that meet their desires and demands, making the wedding day an unforgettable experience for both the couple and their guests.
They also showcased those, whose excellence has propelled them to success as well as the commitment of the very best wedding professionals that put efforts in making sure their customers always receive top services, making their wedding day carefree and the best it could be.
The star-studded evening was hosted by radio-broadcaster, Polly James. She presented the winners, as chosen by the public and congratulated them for their driven passion to leave every customer satisfied and deliver elegant weddings.
The competition was fierce but the King Arthur Hotel managed to win the ‘Wedding Coordinator of the Year’ category and took the trophy home.
I was so shocked when my name was read out and thought did I just hear that right? Then my name appeared on the big screen…it was real! Since the awards’ evening I have received lots of messages of congratulations from friends, family and my wedding couples both past and present- its been pretty overwhelming. I’m so grateful to everyone who voted and helped us to achieve this award.’
A Spokesperson for the Welsh Wedding Awards 2019 said: “It is safe to say that it was a memorable and inspiring night, reflecting the professionalism and talent that flow within the Welsh wedding industry.
“The awards provided the opportunity to acknowledge the champions of this sector, who know how to make our wedding an unforgettable experience. The winners of the Welsh Wedding Awards 2019 represent the industry’s gold standard and are tried and tested specialists that the Welsh public wanted to get the recognition they deserve.
“The competition was tough this year and therefore the excitement was equally significant. All finalists and winners should be really happy for being part of this huge annual celebration of the country’s wedding sector. We would like to congratulate everyone for their amazing achievements.”
The awards also provided the opportunity to fundraise for a worthwhile cause and helped raise money for the official charity partner, Make A Wish Foundation UK, who grant magical wishes to children and young people, fighting life-threatening conditions.
