Our award-winning Gower wedding venue and function room, Avalon, has played host to weddings since 2003.
When it comes to weddings, we understand that its more than just an event- it’s an experience. From the initial look around the venue, to the last dance, our professional wedding team go above and beyond to ensure that every wedding detail comes to life.
No two weddings are the same, so we pride ourselves on the personal approach we take, really getting to know our clients. On the day of an event, our dedicated team flawlessly executes the meticulously planned timeline, ensuring everything runs smoothly, allowing the couple and their guests to fully immerse themselves in the occasion.
Voted Best Wedding Venue in Swansea
It’s no surprise that couples travel from far and wide to view our spectacular venue and fall in love with this special place.
We were honoured to be named Best Wedding Venue in South & Central Wales at the 2025 Welsh National Wedding Awards for the third consecutive year. These awards mean a great deal to us, recognising the dedication and hard work of our entire team- from chefs and housekeepers to front of house and grounds staff.
We have also been consistently recognised for our coordination team, being shortlisted in the top five for Best Wedding Coordinator(s) in Wales for the past four years. Our Wedding Manager, Rhian Millar, was also proud to be named Wedding Coordinator of the Year in 2019.
And most recently, we are thrilled to share that we have just won the Swansea Life Award for “Weddings in the Bay” 2026 — another wonderful acknowledgement of the magic created here every day.
Meadow Ceremony
Tucked away in the grounds of the hotel, your ceremony is surrounded by nature, calm, and quiet beauty.
From 1st April to 30th September, couples say their vows in the flower meadow — a natural, open space that feels relaxed and unspoilt, with the oak pavilion standing gently within the landscape as a focal point.
And if the Welsh weather has its own plans, the moment simply moves indoors to Avalon, where everything is ready to welcome you in for an intimate, heartfelt ceremony.
Avalon Ceremony
After your ceremony, guests can gather in the courtyard outside Avalon for celebratory drinks while you enjoy your photographs.
Add a selection of homemade canapés — from mini Welsh rarebits to heart-shaped Welsh cakes — for a relaxed and sociable start to the celebrations.
Our drinks packages can be tailored to suit the season, whether that’s a refreshing summer Pimm’s or something warmer like hot chocolate with Barti Ddu rum.
Photo Opportunities
Our unbeatable location offers endless opportunities for beautiful, natural wedding photography. From our own landscaped gardens, complete with a picturesque lily pond, to the charming surroundings of The Bryn, every corner provides a stunning backdrop. Our wedding breakfast menus are designed to be shaped around you — from relaxed, rustic feasts to more refined dining. We champion Welsh and locally sourced ingredients wherever we can, celebrating the flavours of the land around us.
Set within Avalon, our South Wales venue welcomes up to 140 guests for a wedding breakfast that feels generous, joyful and unmistakably yours.
The Evening Celebration
As the day turns into evening, Avalon transforms into a lively and welcoming space to celebrate with family and friends.
Our resident DJ, with years of experience entertaining wedding guests, knows exactly how to read the room and keep the dancefloor full. For those looking to add something extra, many couples choose live entertainment — from bands and acoustic sets to fun additions like casino tables.
Our experienced wedding coordinators are always on hand to recommend trusted suppliers and help you shape an evening that feels just right for you.
The Avalon bar and music conclude at 12:30am, giving you plenty of time to celebrate into the night.
